My name is Christine Davenport and I should be Drama Club President. I should be president because I have experience in leadership and acting. I am experienced in leadership because I am the oldest and have two younger sisters. I have experience in acting because I have been in a Christmas skit since 2nd grade.
I am taking Theatre Arts class with Mrs. Sipes. She is an excellent teacher. I am still learning every day. If you saw my face yesterday, on Wednesday, you'll know how dedicated I am.

8th Grade Drama Club Meets Thursday, September 30, Activity Period
Your name, if you have signed up, will be sent to your activity period teacher through email before the meeting. Come to the auditorium ready to nominate officers for the 8th grade Drama Club.
Statements from the Nominees: Dakota Jones, Jacob Patterson, and Ishmeal Mufasa Allensworth
"Ladies and Gentlemen,
... If I am elected president, there will be a fantabulious time for everyone. A-Mazing costumes,..and much, much more. Why? 'Because Drama and Divas go together!'
-Dakota Jones
(Paid for by the Dakota Jones for President campaign)
Hi, I'm Jacob Patterson and I would like to be the president of HJHS first Drama Club. I want to be president of Drama Club because I have always had an interest in Theatre Arts. I have never really been a leader but I think this would be a good opportunity and a great experience. I say that everyone should be able to come to Drama Club, have fun, and be ourselves. With our new school and Drama Club we can do anything we set our minds to. I plan to be a driving force of HJHS Drama Club! Even if I don't get elected president this year I'm sure we will all have a great starting year of HJHS Drama Club.
Sincerely,
Jacob Patterson
Dear Fellow Drama Club Members and Leaders,
I, Ishmeal Mufasa Allensworth, would like to be the President of the first HJHS 9th grade Drama Club, because I am an amazingly gifted person talent wise and mentally. To keep a good attitude I try to think about all the good things in life and not dwell in all the bad things happening around me. Most of you have probably heard that I like to dance which is one of the best and most excitingly accurate ways to describe me. As president of the 9th grade Drama Club I promise to make sure everyone has the opportunity to have their own well-appreciated part in every HJHS production. I guarantee you will not regret voting me for president, but enjoy our time pop-n-locking ...on stage together.
Sincerely,
Ishmeal Mufasa Allensworth

Drama Club is HUGE!!!!
Wow! I can't believe the response from all of you. Your enthusiasm about theatre is fantastic. Because of the huge group, I am calling grade-level meetings for a bit. Here's the schedule:
Tuesday, September 28 - Auditorium - Freshmen
Thursday, September 30 - Auditorium - 8th Grade
Tuesday, October 5 - Auditorium - 7th Grade
In the meantime, nominate officers for EACH class. Freshmen may nominate freshmen, etc. If you are nominated, you need to prepare a 50 word statement about why you would make a fantastic officer for your group. You will present your statement October 7, in the auditorium. I will be recording your statement and posting a link to it, so that the group can take a look before they vote. The vote will be online as well.
IT'S THE 21ST CENTURY! FIND OUT HOW TO CONNECT VIRTUALLY EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE LIBRARY DURING ACTIVITY PERIOD, OR TO THE PUBLIC LIBRARY AFTER SCHOOL.
